industrial and educational sectors. David has been with Newcastle University
since 1996, first as Computing Officer for Marine Technology and currently
Computing Officer for the Open

Ruth O'Rourke,
a Newcastle University MA student and Modern Languages Outreach Officer,
made her first venture into Linguacast in 2005 writing language learning
material with the Euromarché team. She has since become entangled with other
projects run by the OAC and SML and, when not working towards graduation or
falling off a snowboard, spends her time thinking of new ways to broadcast
the benefits of language learning. She is still convinced this is a good thing.
