The inspiration for Linguacast arose in the Spring of 2005 from observation of students using ipods and mp3 players listening to / downloading their favourite music. We have applied this to educational learning resources; specifically at this site, language learning resources delivered via RSS to suit the pace of the individual student, anytime, anywhere.

In addition to audio (mp3) files, the site offers video language learning resources (flash files).
